Forest Management

Having long understood the role of stewardship and the importance of maintaining our forest resources, the State of Oregon is guided by one of the most comprehensive set of Forest Practice Regulations in the world, commonly referred to as the Oregon Forest Practices Act.  These regulations encompass the horizon of all forest management activities such as reforestation, harvesting, road building, stream and wildlife protection.

The Oregon Department of Forestry is charged with the responsibility of monitoring and enforcing these regulations, in addition to modifying these regulations based on sound science.

Seneca Jones Timber Company takes pride in utilizing the Best Management Practices in all aspects of its Forest Management, which meet and often times exceed the regulations of the Oregon Forest Practices Act.
